What is the Sandbox and how do I open it?

The Sandbox is a separate practice mode for building. Resources are unlimited, building and crafting are free, nothing decays and nobody attacks you — so you can try out base designs without risking anything.

How to open it. In the server list, pick the Sandbox category and tap Play — it starts straight away, with no server to join and no matchmaking. Or go to Settings → System → Open sandbox.

What you can do. Build for free and pick each piece's material directly — wood, stone, metal or HQM — without upgrading step by step. Craft instantly at no cost, using the skins you own. Demolish anything with no time limit. Skip the time of day forwards or backwards to check how your base looks. Structural collapse works exactly like in the real game, so a badly supported build will fall — that's the point of practising here.

What isn't in the Sandbox. No resource gathering, damage or death, animals or NPCs, loot, decay, other players or vehicles. Turrets and traps can be placed but never fire — they're decoration. The map, shop, Safe, chat and your level are hidden, because none of them apply here.

You can shoot and throw explosives, but nothing takes damage — see "Why doesn't anything take damage in the Sandbox?" for how to test your base instead.

Saving your projects. You get three save slots; you save and load them yourself — there's no autosave. When you leave, the game asks whether to save; if you say no, changes are lost. Saves are stored on your device only — they aren't tied to your account or backed up, so reinstalling or switching phones means starting over. Entering the Sandbox reopens your most recent project, not an empty island.

Nothing you do in the Sandbox affects your main account: no experience, items or purchases.
